[20.06.10] JAGUARS SHAKEN ON UTRECHT PLAYGROUND

Last Sunday the Titans played the last official game of the DNLL season 2010. A one last battle between the second best of division 2 and the team that ended last in division one. A game for promotion or degradation.

Unfortunately the Titans started up very slowly and soon we were facing a 5-0 lead for the Rotterdam Jaguars. After the second quarter the Titans moved into second gear and we finally started to play our one game, Titans style. With Jaguars flying around all over the field and strong actions by the Titans we fought back to a score of 5-3. We found out that the Jaguars are strong as a team, but not as individuals. Unfortunately the Jaguars managed to score more goals and won the game 11-7, but the Titans gave them the scare of a lifetime by dominating the 4th quarter with 4 straight goals and at least 60% ball possession

It's is great to rock the fields with a team like the 2010 Tilburg Titans!

[13.06.10] TITANS ONCE AGAIN IN THE DNLL 2010 FINALS

On Saturday 12/06 and Sunday 13-06 the play-offs of the DNLL 2010 were played for all divisions on one location in Groningen. The sun was shining, the fields were excellent and the team was excited. All ingredients were there to make it a great Tilburg Lacrosse weekend.... and we did! After a 3-0 victory over the Amsterdam Lions 2, the Tilburg Titans advanced to the finals against the Delft Barons.

We already knew it was going to be one hell of a game, but both teams played like never before. In the first quarter we started with an 2-0 lead, but in the end the Barons were to strong for us and took home their well deserved gold medal. We lost with a final score of 9-3, but played the our best game ever as a team!

Not only last year, but again in 2010 the Titans prove to be one of the best lacrosse teams. With pride The Titans, again bring home the silver medal in division 2. Our second year of competition as a team and the second time we end up in top 2 position! We are damn proud to be the Tilburg Titans!

[21.03.10] TITANS FIRST VICTORY OF THE SEASON

Ofcourse the season has just started, but after two unfortunate losses the Titans finally picked up the pace and absolutely dominated the game against the Amsterdam Lions. With 99% succes on all groundballs and a perfect posession rate, the Titans showed again that they are one of the stronger competitors in the 2nd division. Unfortunately the Titans managed to get only 2 out of at least 30 shots in the goal, so more shot practise is definately needed. But this victorious game, in which we fully controlled the oponent, gave the Titans renewed spirit for the rest of the season.

[28.02.10] ALLIANCE TITANS & DEVILS: DODGERS UNITED

For the DNLL 2010 division 3, the Tilburg Titans and Domstad Devils formed an alliance for the formation of a brand new team names The Dodgers United! Several players from both team are going to compete in the 3rd division of the DNLL and will be playing team like the Gladiators 2, Jags 2, Den Haag Lax 3 and also some belgium teams like the Goblins en Red Rhinos. We wish all players of the Dodgers United lots of fun and succes this season.

[28.02.10] 3 VICTORIES ON 1 GAMEDAY!

Last sunday the Titans were invited for a friendly gameday in Nijmegen. Both Titans 1 and the Dodgers United (aliance Tilburg and Utrecht) played a couple of excellent games that day. On this cold sunday the Titans managed to win 3 games against The Kannibalz, The Highlanders and The Devils. The last scrimmage against was sealed with an 8-2 victory with the a great longpole goal from our defender with shirt #1 Guy Kessels. It was a fantastic gameday with a great vibe between all teams. With three more victories, the Titans definately feel ready for the DNLL 2010!

[22.10.09] 2 VICTORIES ON 1 GAMEDAY!

Another cloudy gameday on the muddy fields of Den Haag, but a great gameday with even better results for the Tilburg Titans.

The first match of the day was against our old enemy The Devils from Utrecht. Playing fysical and dominant the Titans quickly took the overhand with a 2-0 lead. The Titans ended the game with a final score of of 3-1.

The second game of the day was against The Hague Lacrosse. A more fysical, but less fast and technical opponent. The Titans beat their opponent by adjusting their strategy to a more fast and tactical offence and through excellent teamplay. The Titans ended another great match with a final score of 4-0. With 2 victories on 1 day, a really good day for the Titans.

[11.10.09] FUN AT THE 4 NATIONS CUP

On a cloudy and windy sunday morning the Titans left for Belgium to play the very first edition of the 4 Nations Cup organised by Belgiums first lacrosse team the Red Rhino's.

On the muddy fields of the Rhino's we experienced one of the best lacrosse gamedays ever. The teams from Rijmenam, Essen and Lille were great to play against and the entire day was marked by friendschip and lacrosse. Endresult of this day was one game won, one game lost and one game tied for the Tilburg Titans and we even caught some airtime on the local TV channel RTV. Thanks for a great day Rhinos!

[27.06.09] TILBURG BRINGS HOME THE SILVER MEDAL

The finals of the Dutch National Lacrosse League Division 2 can only be described as magnificant. Real powerplay by both teams. With the Devils being really technical and the Titans playing with everything they got, this was a true dream final. The Titans made some beautifull teamplay goals, defence was tight and the transitions on the midfield were really fast, but unfortunately we were unfortunately no match for the extreme ball controle of the Devils.
